CMO Mobile Summit: May 30, 2013

The first-ever CMO Mobile Summit in the Philippines is something both mobile and online marketers should not miss. For this one time, thought-leaders from well-known companies are gathering to impart some of their knowledge to those interested to connect with the industry. Though this is not directly related to online marketing, adding the MOBILE in your marketing weaponry will catapult your business to the next level.

What is it about?

The theme for this summit is called “Mobile and the Path to Purchase.” The talk will basically center on the potential of the mobile population as a rich market for digital businesses. The speakers will be tackling the different methods to utilize the ignored mobile market and turn it into a big money maker.

Who are the speakers?

The speakers for this summit are all considered veterans in their field. It would be hard to find these same people showing up in the same engagement again, especially since all of them are incredibly busy professionals. Here’s a list of the speakers to be expected at the summit:

  • Christian Cadeo, the head of mobile for Southeast Asia, Google
  • Aliza Knox, the managing director of Asia Pacific, Twitter
  • Rohit Dadwal, the managing director for Asia Pacific, Mobile Marketing Association
  • Craig Law-Smith, the head of strategy and business development in SingTel

What will I learn?

Even though the event is just for one day, the summit is scheduled for a full package that tackles as much of mobile marketing as possible. Some of the highlights include the potential of the mobile market and intensive sessions involving all facets of mobile marketing. Specifically, there will be discussions about mobile social media, mobile commerce, mobile app marketing, mobile in retail, mobile CRM and more. These topics are conveniently divided between the different speakers so that listeners would get different schools of thought for their own marketing efforts.

Participants will also get to be part of a networking session along with their fellow participants, the speakers and the different suppliers in the market today.

When and where is it?

The summit is scheduled for May 30 at The Fort, Taguig City. The event is expected to start at 9AM and to end at 6:30PM with some cocktails served later for the participants.

How much will it cost?

For interested parties, the rate will be Php11,900 each. Those who come in early only have to pay Php8,900 to be part of the summit. Considering the caliber of the speakers showing up for the event, the price asked for isn’t really surprising and might just well be worth it.

Who should see it?

The event is open for everyone who wants to get exclusive information about the situation of mobile marketing and how to make the most of it. However, the summit only offers a limited amount of slots. Hence, anyone who wants to be part of the event should call the reservation number or send an email to show interest.

With the fast-changing situation of the business today, it would really be a bad decision to ignore the impact of mobile marketing to business growth. That being said, CMO Mobile Summit is definitely a first that serious marketers shouldn’t pass on.
