Top 5 Buy and Sell Websites in the Philippines

When it comes to online shopping, Philippines are definitely catching up with the United States. There are currently numerous websites that offers ad postings for Pinoys all over the country. Each one makes it easier for business owners to be seen by prospective clients while buyers would not have to look so hard for their purchases.

When using a buy and sell website however, it is usually a good idea to visit domains that already have a good reputation for variety and ease of use. That being said, following are the top buy and sell domains available for Filipino entrepeneurs nationwide.

When it comes to buy and sell, Sulit is the first thing that comes to a local netizen’s mind. It could be because the domain has been so long online, managing to entrench itself within the Filipino community. describes itself as the number 1 buy and sell website in the country. They deal with practically anything under the sun from computers, land, property, gadgets, services and more. Buyers and sellers have the option of opening up an account from Sulit and posting the products that they want to buy or sell. Since the website only acts as the “location” where buyers and sellers meet, it really cannot guarantee that all buyers and sellers are legitimate – thus some scams are still happening within the domain. However, also has also put up warnings that will make it easier for members to spot scammers.

To make it easier for members to transact with confidence in the site, Sulit employs a “reputation” system that allows clients to provide a feedback. With more positive feedbacks attached to their name, buyers and sellers have a better chance of transacting with other individuals. If you’re a business owner operating within Sulit, this is an excellent way to further your marketing. The website also offers special privileges to Gold Sulit Members by placing their Ads at the top for relevant searches. SEO-wise, it’s also very powerful with searches often placing Sulit within the first three pages.

Second only to Sulit in terms of popularity, is a global buy and sell website that deals with a wide array of products. Much like Sulit, it functions as an “online market” with sellers and buyers basically just members of the website. Hence, it is not entirely scam free but the AyosDito also puts effort in helping wean out the undesirables. The website makes it easier for buyers and sellers to use their service by separating transactions by region. Individuals from the Mindanao region will have no problem finding desired products within their own area. This eliminates the pesky freight charges usually needed for long-range transactions. Through, buyers and sellers have the option of using the most friendly payment processors for their transaction.

eBay is a well-known website that deals with buyer and seller auctions. It’s actually a global domain with a Philippine version, making it easier for Filipinos to transact with each other. The products being offered through the domain ranges from electronics, property, clothes, accessories, books and others. Since this offers auctions, individuals have a better chance of finding products without going over their budget.

TipidPC is not limited to buying and selling. Rather, it offers forum services that allow members to talk, exchange opinions and socialize with each other. Note that TipidPC deals mainly without computer-related items. Unlike Sulit and AyosDito, you won’t find products that aren’t related with PC-ownership. The website also has a sister domain called TipidCP which deals mainly with mobile phones. A trusted domain when it comes to electronics, TipidPC has the added draw of helping members troubleshoot their computer-related problems.

Not exactly a buy and sell website, Shopinas.Com is drawing attention thanks to its “safety” feature. Unlike the above-mentioned domains, all products are guaranteed by the domain, ensuring that each purchase will be delivered within the necessary timeline. Shopinas also offers various products ranging from clothes, mobile phones, books and more. Possibly the biggest draw through this website is the lack of scams, something which is often seen in buy and sell domains. However, the fact that Shopinas is a single enterprise may limit the payment options of the buyer. It also eliminates the usual meet-ups arranged through buy and sell domains.

It isn’t surprising to find online companies parking their advertisements in buy and sell websites. There are actually several advantages to doing this, starting with search engine optimization.

See, websites like Sulit and AyosDito already have a strong foothold when it comes to search engines. By posting in these domains, the buyer or seller have a better chance of turning up in the first page when someone uses their particular keywords. Posting links to the advertisement also makes it easier for buyers to track the official website to increase their traffic.

The presence of feedback options also makes it easier for businesses to build a good reputation within the community. The positive feedbacks build trust, allowing prospective buyers to prefer your products in comparison to newer sellers that have not yet established a reputation.

Money-wise, the websites mentioned above are also excellent for new business owners. This is because posting ads through most of these domains are completely free at the most basic level. For those who want to gain an advantage over their competitors, some buy and sell domains offer paid memberships that guarantee them the top spot during relevant searches. User profiles are also editable, providing sufficient space to subtly advertise to viewers. Updates regarding news, messages and other events are also sent through emails, allowing members to keep up with the changes in the domain.

To wrap it up, the presence of buying and selling websites in the Philippines is definitely a godsend for many Filipinos who want to pay cheaper prices for different products. The versatility of these websites also makes it easier for members to find exactly what they’re looking for without spending hours at the mall. Collectors prefer these domains due to the rarity of the products being sold.

I believe this list needs to be updated. I don’t really get how other more popular classified ads sites would be outranked by other online forums or even Tipidpc.

Right now, I still do post in OLX, but does not get the same sales there as before. However, I do also post in AYOS and MYBENTA.

As a businessman, you don’t have to be limited on these classified ads sites. I have my own e-commerce website, as well as, posts actively in, which offers an alternative to online sellers with no approval process and FREE SMS.
